Ingredients
- 2 cups (500 ml) heavy cream
- 1/4 cup (50 g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons powdered gelatin
- 3 tablespoons (45 ml) cold water
- Fresh fruit or berry sauce for topping (optional)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the powdered gelatin over the cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes to bloom.
- In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream and sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring, until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Stir the bloomed gelatin into the hot cream mixture until fully dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into serving glasses or molds, leaving space for toppings.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Serve chilled, topped with fresh fruit or berry sauce if desired.
